The first book in the Bible, Genesis, begins with the One Who knows everything. If we assume that Genesis 1:1 is false, then later we can assume that the entire Bible is false. The value of faith in the literal interpretation of the first chapters of the Bible can never be overemphasized. In the first chapters of the Bible we find the roots of almost all Christian doctrines. If there is no God, a person can live as he wants. There is no reason that would determine what principles should guide him in his life.
An entire generation grew up on the teaching that we are animals. Should we wonder after that, why do people behave the way they do?
Why do we believe in good and evil? Because there is a God.
Why do we believe in marriage and family? Because there is a God.
Why do we believe in the meaning and value of life? Because there is a God.
And the basis for all these beliefs is the creation by God of all existence.
Evolution is a mentality that says that person determines the way he wants to live. It is a world in which you are not accountable for your life.
How do you remove Christian moral values? Just break the idea of creation by God.Replace the idea of God’s world on the idea of a human world, and all the social evils with which we are fighting so hard today, emerge as a result of this outlook.
If God is our Creator, He is the one who gives laws, reflecting His holy character. We do not choose them based on our opinions, because they have been given by the One Who has the right. They are for our good and for His glory. He gives us the principles for the construction of our thinking in all areas of life.
If you remove God from this position, there is no foundation for determining good and evil. Then each man defines to himself the rules of life. Our world is defined by our view on the origin of all.
Understanding the importance of teaching the younger generation the origins of Christian ethics and morality, the First Christian Church of Cupcini (Moldova) organizes a summer camp for children and youth, «Creation Camp» on July 4st-13th, 2011.
The camp program includes: learning English from native speakers (a team from the U.S.) according to the age category, obtaining computer skills, music and sports events, theater and other activities. And all this will be done in a safe and fun environment under the guidance of mentors, who love God and children. For the training , we will use the inductive Bible study material from Precept Ministries called “Digging up the past”.
The camp will be held at the church.
As a part of the camp, there will also be organized professional training and competitions in baseball.
